KOROR (Palau Horizon) – The House Committee on Ways and Means has asked the House leadership for the expenditure records of the House of Delegates.
Committee chairman Jonathan Isechal in a memorandum requested House Speaker Noah Idechong to authorize the expenditure records from Oct. 1, 2007 to Sept. 30, 2008 and from Oct. 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
The records, Isechal said is important to the preparation of the committee for its work on the FY2010 budget.
Isechal added this is also needed in accordance with the transparency policy of the government.
The delegate is also requesting a copy of the House’s most recent performance report.
The performance report is mandated under the law and should include the statement of the agency’s functions and responsibilities it also must include a list of all personnel position including job description and salary for each position.
The House will be preparing for the budget during the July session.
