Tongan charged with rape
SUVA (Pacnews) — A Tongan national has been charged with raping a young woman in Suva before throwing her into the sea, reports Fiji Times online.
Police said at 4.30 a.m. on Friday, the man invited the victim to share a serve of barbecue near Sukuna Park in Suva.
He then raped the woman at the seawall before throwing her into the sea, police said.
The victim was treated at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital and is now recovering at home.
