ON behalf of the Republican Party of the NMI Association, we extend a sincere congratulations to Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, Lt. Governor Eloy S. Inos and the Covenant Party for their election victory.  We hope that your administration can bring forth the prosperous times to come for all who live and call the CNMI home.

We are all WINNERS and I urge everyone who supported and voted Republican and all other voters who exercised their right to vote this election year to continue to hold their heads up high and be proud because you the stood up and voted for who and what voted believed in.   A great saying goes like this: “Stand for what your believe in, even if you are the only one standing, because if you don’t stand, you will fall for anything.”  By fighting for what you believed in, you already brought change to our community.
We also extend our sincerest appreciation and thank you to all of our supporters, voters, candidates, family and friends who worked so hard through the whole process.  Without you the democratic process would be lost.
Finally, we humbly ask the entire CNMI community to come together to help build our islands regardless of political affiliation.  We are a forgiving community and it is only when we forgive each other and work together that we can accomplish great things.  In our small communities, we all need to live together in harmony.  Let us continue to do so in good faith and friendship.
With humble gratitude and appreciation, Si Yu’us Ma’ase, Ghillisoow, Thank You, and Happy Holidays to all.

DAVID ATTAO
Acting President
Republican Party of
the NMI Association

+1 #4 Islandmama 2009-12-09 10:55 When things start heading downhill (again!), I\'m going to have a bumper stick that reads, \"YOU voted for Fitial\" or \"I didn\'t vote for Fitial\". I still can\'t believe the many people who want to continue with bitter times! It\'s beyond me … where were their brains when they voted? Perhaps it was in their pockets, counting the money or the jobs they were promised. Lord have mercy on our island!

+2 #3 tureti 2009-12-08 23:21 Mr. Attao, I tip my hat to you. You are a gentleman and a professional who understands decorum and protocol. I am just a bit disturbed that congressmen Henz and Arnold have not done something similar. They are the standard bearers of the GOP Party. Their silence can be interpreted by the public as BITTER, SORE LOSERS and so on. Further, it exhibits poor character and lacking statesmanship. As Mr. Attao alludes that it is time now to come together and help rebuild our CNMI.

These, ladies and gentlemen, are words to ponder as you live without electricity, paved roads and safe streets.

Do you already get the impression that you have fallen for something?
